Kenny, I too wish you could ride the roads.  :bikerider: Hope you are feeling better.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally wornout, shouting..."What a Ride!"

I went to HoH yesterday for some parts. Got to see the FURY.
NOT BAD! Like I said earlier, I will not trade in the X but, they
did a nice job on it. Very clean looking. Tank is WAY too small.
Just my 2 cents.

I just called them to see if it was going to be one of the demo bikes this Saturday...nope, already sold it!  :banghead:  They did say they might have another one in by then.  One way or another, I want to take her for a spin.  A guy in LaPorte, who posts on the VTXOA board, just bought one and Steve went over to check it out.  He said it rides pretty nice, even better than a raked VTX.  I just wanna take it for a WOT spin or two!  >:D

My contact suggested that I come by on a weekday so I can take their demo
(when they get it) for an extended test drive. Sworn to secrecy.

I read a recent ride test and it said Mother Honda has the bike capped at 100mph.  They may not be very confident in the rake taking excessive speeds.

IMO the  Valk will cost around 17K and I don't think this economy will support it... also it will compete with the VTX which is not selling well (hint no more 1800)

I will be a used VTX soon!!!  ;D

So how come the economy supports some $18-20K HDs, but not a brand new, revamped Valk?   :stickpoke:

Went to Yamaha dealer in Killeen weekend before last for demo days...wanted to ride the Venture and the Raider.  Venture was just OK...somewhat top heavy....seemed under powered although rated at 98HP.  Probably needs breaking in.  The Raider, now that's another story.  If you've not seen one in person or ridden one, you owe it to yourself to do so even if you are not seriously thinking about buying one.  Check out the specs at Yamaha website.  It rides great, 1900cc vtwin, forward controls, styling cues carried throughout bike from nose to tail.  Really shames the Fury.  Just MHO. :bikerider:
