Ultimate seat install issues...
« on: July 24, 2006, 06:32:44 PM »

I will be ordering a new Ultimate Big Boy set by week's end. Seems I read somewhere about difficulty removing the stock rider's seat but cannot run it down.

Does it take special tools or the help of brain surgeon to remove the stock seats? Are there any special tips or tricks I should be aware of - both stock removal and new seats install?

Thanks all.

I don't think that it is really a big deal.  I take mine off everytime I wash the bike.  A little dab of lock-tite helps when re-installing.  Lost a bolt before I learned that lesson.

A good suggestion.. hope you don't use the Red stuff.

I haven't washed any of the bikes I've owned.. I just clean them by hand.

Thanks for the hint, noble.

Lennie, Is your stock seat up for grabs?  I'd like to have an extra for when the wife wants to ride.  That way I don't have to fiddle with those 10mm screws that are half stripped by now.
