I have a nuvi mounted to the bike with a mount a  bought off ebay for about 30 bucks. Uses the stock cradle. Can't go wrong with the garmin. customer service is far superior to anyone in the business.

Here is the mount link.  I can't figure out how to post the picture. [img]
http://cgi.ebay.com/Motorcycle-Mount-for-GARMIN-GPS-Streetpilot-Nuvi-1_W0QQitemZ200314801144QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGPS_Accessories_Cables?hash=item200314801144&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

The only problem I see using that with a Nuvi is that the bikes vibration would be transferred directly to the GPS. Not sure the Nuvi is built to handle that kinda vibration over the long term. If the Zumo has the ball mount (not sure), it would probably work fine for it because the Zumo is vibration resistant which also accounts for the much higher price. That, and the fact that it's waterproof. As stated in my earlier post, I've found a way around both of those issues (rubber isolators on my mount and don't use it in the rain) and saved money. The Nuvi 760 is an excellent unit IMHO. It's just not built to withstand the elements, although I find it to be a sturdy, well built unit.

Glad I could help Taz.

You'll love the 760!

If you need any help/pointers shoot me a PM. There are a lot of nifty features on this thing.
I've had a lot of time using it after two round trips to California. :o

If you don't have an intercom system on your bike, you can simply plug in some ear buds and your good to go.
Of course, if you don't plan on loading it up with mp3 tunes (SD card required), you don't really need audio at all on the bike. The screen gives you all the nav info you need. Although, the female voice that announces all the turns is pretty sexy! ;)

...that is, if you don't get the iphone instead. :reaction:  ;D

Happy Birthday by the way. :c

They may have been discontinued by Garmin, but Amazon is still selling them as far as I know. Hell if I'm going to spend $700 for a new model! :ohwow:
Sometimes the best deals are for discontinued models.

Do you know what the replacement model is? Where did you get the $700.00 price tag from?

From the 1200 models I think.  I looked at so many not sure.
Trust me I hope to be able to get a 760 before there all gone....I AM A POOR BOY WITH 2 BABIES AND 1 ON THE WAY! :ohwow: I have to go with the discontined models to be able to afford something nice. :(
