They are leaving California on 02/15. That should put them here on the 17th or 18th depending on how hard they ride.
Not sure yet if they're spending the night here. If not I'll meet up with them at the 123 on ramp in Seguin and ride as far as Houston before I turn around and come home.
If they spend the night, it'll be one hell of a party. :c

Seneca is a damned good man. He's been around since the VTXOA was young. I regret that I've fallen out of contact with him; I don't know if I could find his number any more. But if I can get the time off I would like to, at the very least, fall in with part of the ride. Keep us posted.
Back in '02 the story of him losing his key in a toliet on a stop during a ride  :ohwow: helped convince me to always keep an extra key in my wallet. He is one heck of a nice guy who I would always want on my side...I, too, will cover his back!  :c

I'd forgotten about that. He took a lot of razzing over that for a long time.

This is what makes this group so Great! I am going to try to work it out to ride with him to Houston. If anyone from the Austin area wants to meet up and cruise together lets figure out a meeting place. I will know in the next day or two if I can get the time off. Most of us know what it means for him to make this journey, I just wish I could cruize with him all the way to the Keys. We all have that spirit of the Iron Horse that travels with us and bonds us together. One journey at a time. Peace!

From what I read on the Ca. board donations of any size are needed. They are basically putting together a caravan of support vehicles to assist and funds are needed to support these vehicles. I to want to ride with them. Wish Texas wasn't so damn big. It would be cool to meet them at the border and escort them all the way across this great State. That would be about 1800 miles for me and I would never leave the state.  ::)
I'm giving some serious thought to hooking up with them here and riding to Florida with them. Never been.

Mrs. P & I did a Keys run in '03 with (gulp) Coyote and 6 others, but that was from Atlanta. I'm hoping they take Stan up on his offer to stopo at his place for another SteakOut at his Casa like we did in '04 on the front end of the second Coloradical.  :lunch:  :c   :bikerider:  :cool2:

You must be talking about this one:

You and your wife were the first xriders I met up with. I think I got to the hotel about 20 minutes before ya'll did. Boy was I a green rider back then.
I'll never forget leaving out the next morning when I was given the option to take the scenic route or the let's get there route. I chose the let's get there. We must have run at least 20 miles at 100-120 mph. I was thinking, what have I gotten myself into. I had no idea where I was so I had to keep up. :bikerider:

I had not seen that Stan had offered to do that for them. He cooks a mean steak! For some reason I thought they were following I-10.

Si, Senor, that'd be it. Yeah, Becky & I had been there a day already but hadn't checked in yet. I will unfortunately never forget seeing Mike Berezein and George in the hot tub at the Motel  :ohwow:  :ohwow:  :ohwow: you and I look like shrimp compared to those two! Remember everyone wanting their pictre taken on Wilbur & Hal's chopper in Stan's driveway? Ah yeah, the good old days indeed.  :cool2:  :flag:  :notworthy:  :lunch:  :c  :bikerider:

I also remember that the battery was dead and it had to be pushed from the trailor. Is KingCobra still active in HDL?

I personally want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart.

I would sell my soul to the devil to make this happen for him.

He means the world to the California VTX family.

Once again thank you all so much for opening up your homes and your hearts.

Something happened to the marriage...Wilbur went to Ohio to help Hal in his newest dealership a few years back, but they had a falling out and Wilbur headed back to L.A. (lower Alabama).

It's usually a pretty familiar thing in Texas to have the same comradery.  I'll be honored to be a part of this ride.

I made it Stans as well for the Pre Coloradical meeting and I concur on those steaks.  That's a great offer, but I believe they are sticking to I-10 so that would be quite a bit out of the way.
