250 build
« on: January 17, 2009, 04:54:45 PM »

Hi, all
actually my first post,

Im working on a 250 build,
Avnon 250, modified stock swing arm,
I knew she was gonna tight

first run, no way , plenty of room on the right
locked on the left,
so I added, 2, then 4 washers, behind the flange on the left,

and shes still rubbin, got about 3 credit card lengths on the Right
snuged on the left
should I just keep adding washers
anything i can due to the right side,
any advice would be cool
 ;D

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

If your wheel is rubbing on the left, you need to go back and redo your swingarm. The wheel needs to be centered, and that is where it is in it's normal position. Shimming it with washers is moving it to the right, and off of centerline. If you bought the swingarm from a company, send it back and tell them to redo it.
