been sitting (i know blasphemous) for about 2 weeks, without starting at all. when to start it today and it turns over it just wont fire up. any info or help greatly appreciated. thanks

Have 1300 or 1800?? If 1300 do you have gas on?? Switch on?? 1800, Have gas in it?? Kickstand up??
Turning over slow or fast??

my bad too little info
1300, gas, switch on, bike in neutral, and its turning over normal, it started at first and it was sputterin like it was cold, i choked it a bit then walked away. it ran for a minute then died and wouldnt crank again.

Three things make an engine run...air, fuel, and spark! That's where I would start. Figure out which one you lack!

They still do that vacuum line to the petcock crap. That little hose left my vfr interceptor on the side of the road several times.

if you are sitting on the bike, its on the very bottom back right side of the tank. bout a quarter inch o.d. size hose.
