Dear Abby
« on: August 30, 2008, 09:14:18 AM »

If we were to evacuate for Gustav, Would you take your bike?

My wife and I had this discussion last night. She thought I was silly for wanting to take my X and leave my
work car behind. Actually, I like my X a whole lot more than my Mazda work car.
She will take her 3 dogs and her Beagle Shiloh, is notorius for farting.
It is so bad that if you spray air freshner, it turns to liquid as soon as it leaves the can.

I think the air quality on the motorcycle would be alot better,
After all, if you fart on a motorcycle, all you have to do is raise your face shield.

+1 Boogie. My 10 yo truck can take care of itself. Besides it's paint job could use some improvements like 2X4's sticking into the bed.  :o Actually the only reason it would get moved away from Deer Park and out to Rosharon is so Lucky and I would have a vehicle to return to DP in. (put one bike in bed of truck and ride the other out there.)

oooh ooooh oooh. Just thought that once we do that, the flimsy carport at the apartment will be vacant and I can park the truck there and hope for a tornado.  ::) NEW TRUCK! lol. Actually, the truck has served us well for the last 200K miles. So maybe I'll park the car there instead.  O0

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

Which is easier to replace if it's lost?  No brainer, take the bike.  Emotions aside, it's just harder to get all the extras covered and fixed as easily as some run-of-the-mill car.
