BIKE IS READY
« on: July 06, 2006, 08:42:30 PM »

Ready to ride again.  Picked the bike up today at the dealership. The shop manager was waiting on the mirrors and passenger floorboards to complete the work, but I told them I could use the stock mirrors till the new ones arrived. Jerry, the new mufflers sound good, just enough rumble to let someone know you are around.  Still have to see if the wife likes a little rumble riding two up. :D :D :D :D

I got the mufflers from Quick-Silver. Not sure of the company, but they take a set of VTX stock mufflers and and rework the baffles. Sound is not too loud, but rumble just a enough to let someone know you are nearby, they are really noticeable during excelleration.

I will be on the rode again. Already have a ride planned for next weekend with the daughter in Austin with some friends of theirs from Houston(4 or 5 HD riders). Going to try and make another run up to Llano for BBQ,then to Harper to see the replica of stonehedge, then try to find our way over to Luckenbach.
