rain
« on: August 06, 2008, 11:30:42 AM »

Is it just me, or does it seem like we are getting more rain this year?  Or is it the fact the fact that I can't take the chance of getting rained on anymore because of my dialysis catheter?  :'( :'(

Seems about the same to me...this time of year it is common to have these afternoon showers pop up...I mean without them how would we keep our sauna status??

We are 12 inches below normal rainfall down here. I watched two serious thunderstorms come through here last weekend and not rain a drop fell here, but areas just a couple miles away got 2 to 3 inches. I walked in my yard and it sounded like I was walking on potato chips. I might have recieved 2 inches from Eddie and still need more.

Last week, it was basically blue sky partly cloudy, then all of a sudden we had a hellacious dust/sand-storm blow in, the air was orange (almost a burnt orange  :) ), and you couldn't see much...  then the sky was one big dark cloud and some hellacious rain came in...  I swear the air was muddy that day...

tom cat, I'm sure you've seen that before... riight?

Well I think it is less. Or at least it seemed that way until I had fixed my sprinkler system on saturday and now it I don't need it as much. >:(

I don't think we are getting more rain than usual, but I do know it is hotter than I would like it to be. Can't wait for it to cool down for some good riding.

I missed the better part of 2 months last year, this year I've barely missed anything due to rain.  It's a LOT less rain in DFW this year.
