I'm trying to remove my forks and while the top tree's 2 pinch bolts came loosened with normal effort, the bottom tree's 4 pinch bolts are stuck tight!! They're showing signs of rust and I've sprayed some WD-40 on them but not working to loosen them up. Does anything work better than WD-40?
And while my mallet has come in quite handy in the past couple of weeks
, the only Allen wrench I have to fit these 4 bolts is my 1/4 inch fold out variety. My individual 6 mm is too small and my 8 mm is too big. I don't have a 7 mm.
Don't even know if they make one considering the 1/4 inch is nearly the same.
So while I could use the mallet on my individual Allen wrench's if I had one to fit, I'd most likely break my fold out wrench set. Is there anywhere I could buy an individual 7 mm or 1/4 inch Allen wrench? I do NOT need yet another "set"!!!
Or perhaps borrow one from one of you Houston guys at the next M&G?
