Want to buy "like new" 1300 S or R model
« on: March 17, 2008, 07:58:05 PM »

The girlfriend wants to upgrade her Shadow 750, looking for a low mileage, perfect condition 1300 S or R model.  She's pretty big on buying new, but if she can find somebody's garage queen that already has the extra goodies she might go for it.

Check out Sunrise Honda in Searcy, AR.  I purchased my 1300 R there last year:  Great price, service, and easy to deal with.  If you go there tell Tina Kenneth Harbin sent you.  They do not show a 1300R on currently but I would almost bet they have one.  Tina handles the internet sales and can setup financing if you need it and all you have to do is sign the papers when you arrive and take off.

I drove over from the DFW area and trailered mine back sense I had never been on a bike in my life but they have a free shuttle from the Little Rock Airport.  They are about an hour Northeast of L.R.  I highly recomend them, I didn't find a deal anywhere close around here and have seen used bikes go for close to these prices.  They also have similar deals on New Goldwings starting around $16900 which will probably be my next ride.

Current Prices

VTX1300  $6999  NEW 2006
VTX1800    $9999  NEW 2006

I too bought mine from Tina. They are great people. They now have a dealership in OK. Tine sells out of that store also. Just give her a call.

Yeah, she found a new '06 in Shawnee, OK for $6999, is that the same place?

The used 1300's we've found online don't get much below that till you start getting into the higher mileage ones...

Thanks for the tip...

Maxim is now selling discounted (significantly). Though they don't list the prices on their website (http://maximmotorsport.com/Default.asp) they will quote their best price if you call. I just priced my new Wing there and about fell over. No more trips to Corinth or NC or Atoka for me...   O0

I priced my new (2008) Blue Wing Premium Audio (with fog lights as the only add-on) at $16,799. I don't know who Tina is, but if she can beat that deal I'll buy her dinner!   :P

She called 'em, it must be just for Wings...  They quoted her $600 higher on a 07 1300 S  than Al Lamb did.
