Tires for my 1300R
« on: March 07, 2008, 01:27:58 PM »

My '05 1300R has just about 20,000 miles on it and I'm about to go through my third set of Dunlop tires.  Anybody go any feedback on other brands (Metzler, Avon, etc.) that will fit my bike and what kind of mileage you can get from them?  I'm getting around 8,000 miles on the Dunlops.

Metzlers!! Have used only them. Had really good wear and life from them if you keep the tire psi right!! That is the trick to keeping tires that will go past 12000 miles!! Hope this helps. Good luck!  8)

Thanks VTXChad. I have considered Metzler.  I check my tire pressures about twice a month and keep them at the recommended pressure, but I still can't get that many miles out of Dunlop.
