Gunbarrell Cycle shop
« on: February 05, 2008, 07:47:41 AM »

Has anyone been there and used their services. I am wanting to have some things done to my bike and I don't want to have to haul it to some far away place. But I don't want to take it to someone that is going to jack it up either. thanks.

I've been there several times and talked to the guy that owns/operates it. He seems like a decent enough guy, but I've never had any work done by him, yet.

In the past I've used a shop called Powersports Plus in Gun Barrel City but the guy that ran it has recently gone back into the army and the shop changed hands and is now called Henderson County Customs. It's on 334/85 across the street from the Burger King. I imagine I'll try them again soon but as of now I don't know whether I'd recommend them or not.

There's another place called Wayne's on 198 and 334/85. I've tried to get pricing from him on several things. Some as simple as a tire change but the only thing he will quote is his hourly charge so I've never used him. His shop is new and it may be that he's not familiar yet with his mechanics, but I'm not sure, and anyone that won't even quote a tire change spooks me.

I noticed another shop on 334/85 closer to Seven Points but haven't stopped by there to speak to them yet. The next time I'm in that area I'll get the name of the place.

I will be very interested in whoever you use and how you feel about there work and prices. When I get anything done around there I'll post in this section and send you a PM as well. Good luck.
