Any input on Dial-A-Jet???
« on: January 05, 2008, 03:49:20 AM »

I'm still having trouble with getting my carb setup right for my bike and now that it's cold out it simply runs like S@&T!  I've got the Pro R Hypercharger, V&H BigShots and running a 210 main right now.  I seem to have most of my problems around 60-75mph range.  The engine has starting to completely cutout on me unless I go almost full throttle.  I guess I'll mess with it some more this weekend.   But back to the point, I'm thinking about the Dial-A-Jet just to make fine tuning easier.  Does anyone have one?  What are the thoughts?

Simply going by the website hype, it sounds good.  However, you would need to be sure of your A/F ratio.  I think that would be quite important to overall performance and engine health.

Don't know anything about the Dial a Jet, but I had the exact same setup on my '05 1300C. It ran great. Trouble is, I don't remember what size pilot and main jets came with it. I'll do some checking and try to get back to you with on the sizes and settings. Good luck!!

I finally got into the carb and adjusted the needle out a notch.  I had to take a Dremel tool to the back end to make it fit but it seems to have resolved the issue..... for now.   :-\

Hey Jack Cranberries.
Why don't you call me and bring it by so I can fix it?
You know you don't know how to work on carbs. IMO
Just messing with you. No I have had some time in those carbs. call me.
