wheel wobble
« on: December 28, 2007, 09:09:30 PM »

I've noticed on windy days my 1300 VTXC has a bit of front wheel wobble. Is this due to the thinner front tire than the 1300 VTXR. Does the VTXR have wheel wobble as bad? Inquiring minds want to know.  This is my first bike, purchased in early november I've already got close to 1900 miles on it now. ??? P.S. its a 2007 model

I think it is all the 1300's. There is a fix by replacing with an 1800 bearing I think. I don't know much about it because I have an 1800, but I know pepsx knows how to fix it. You could also probably do a search on the vtxoa site also.

Yea, I had an '05 1300C and it had the same problem even after changing out the front tire to a Metzler. Never could figure it out. Ended up trading in for an '06 1800C. No more wobble ;D

Thanks fo rthe help. I found some good info ont the VTXOA sight along with a link for the part. I just got through ordering the bearings.  O0 Too bad Honda won't fix their own flaw since wheel wobble is kind of a hazard  >:(

I bought a new 2006 1300c in June.  The wheel wobble stopped at about 2500 miles.  Just as I was getting used to it. :-X
