1987 Honda Elite 125 Drive Belt Adjustment

first off....hey all! 8)  I have been pretty busy with wife, child, work and life...in that order!

My dad has a 1987 Honda Elite 125 and is needing to adjust the Drive Belt, but Honda wants $150.  Anyone know how to do this?

I did a search on "honda elite belt" and got a bunch of hits like the one above.

A different site - on a Elite 50 - suggested adjustment is bascially impossible - new belt was only solution.
