Having trouble removing stock air box

I have to remove the air box on my 2002 VTX1800 and the phillip screws don't want to move

http://www.bareasschoppers.com/   Have you tried an impact screwdriver??? Also go to the site posted,.. It has alot of good info..  O0 O0 O0 Good luck...

those can be a real PITA to get out. thats the problem when you use steel and aluminum they have a tendency to seize up. make sure you have exactly the right size phillips. use a hammer and tap the end of the screw driver while holding it in the screw head. this has worked for me in the past. if you have to drill it out let me know, i have a few extra's. good luck and ride safe.

Well, I tried to post that you need an impact driver and where to get it. I posted three times but it never took. That was before Kenny posted; it seems to be working now. You can get one at Sears, at a hardware store, or at most auto parts outlets.

I have an impact driver if you need to borrow it or just come over to my place and we'll loosen it up. It's amazing what they'll loosen up. Best money I ever spent at Sears, which is a lot. 8)

Can beat the impact driver. The Sears manager didn't even know what one was until I showed him on the Sears website. He obviously wasn't a wrench.
