Rear turn signal covers
« on: September 03, 2007, 04:54:03 PM »

I have about 400 miles on my '06 1300, have had it about a month.  The rear left blinker cover came off about 2 weeks ago and looked like it had broken (no visible damage to the signal housing).  Today, when I got home from a 100 mile ride, the right cover was missing as well and looked like it broke off, with no damage to the housing either.  Anyone else had this problem?  The cost is minimal to replace, but it sure is irritating...

At some time in the past somebody has taken them off...and you have fallen prey to the infamous Honda break-away tab. It's near impossible to remove front or rear lenses without breaking the miniscule little plastic tab (which holds the lense in place). If you change a bulb, inevitably you've got to put some silicone (or similar product) in the place of the break-away tab or the lense will vibrate out.
