hookem, which way you planning on going out to coopers? it's just a short trip north up 35 to round rock. i could meet up with you there and take you down 1431 to marble falls and on out to coopers from there. some nice roads between here and there. let me know. BTW, if we want to make it to coopers by 11-12 for lunch i would suggest being on the road from round rock by 9:30.

Just got home and saw your message.  I will be coming from New Braunfels so going up 16 doesn't make sense for me.  What time do you think yall will get to Coopers and I'll try to coordinate my arrival.  I'll be checking the board first thing in the morning.

hey lex, which way you going? gonna head up 281 through marble falls? if we set this up right maybe myself, hookem, and you could meet up somewhere along the way.
if round rock sounds good we can meet at the 1431/university blvd exit. there is an ikea store on the corner, we could meet in the parking lot at say around 9:15.
or we could meet up at the corner of 1431 and 183 in cedar park at the walmart at about the same time. anyway, hopefully i didn't just confuse the crap out of everyone. i'll check back in the am. ride safe.

well, unfortunately for myself after posting to lex with directions i got off the computer to leave for the ride. apparently the meet up time changed by an hour ,  guess that would explain why i sat there for 45 mins and didn't see anyone.
wasn't a total loss though, was able to do a little solo riding.

We were wandering whtat happened. Lex and I were meeting at 915 then we were going to meet yall at 1020. Sorry for the confusion and I am glad your ok. We waited until 1100 thinking you were just a little late. Glad to hear your safe.

Jeremy:  Looks like the miss communication was my fault.  I was thinking I was meeting up with Jeff at 9:15 but what I wrote totally looks like I meant the Wal-Mart at 9:15.  If it helps Jeff and I waited at the Wal-Mart for about 35-40 minutes.  Since the last word we heard from you was you were on your way wwe were concerned when you didn't show up at Wal-Mart, so the only solution was to push on to Coopers without you and drown our concerns in BBQ. Sorry catch you next time.

But it was a beautiful day for ridig even if you did have to go solo.

Well, I thought I had already posted this, but apparently I hit preview and signed off instead of post.

Got ready this am and headed out of the hotel for the ride, only to discover a flat on the X.  Made a call to the roadside I have with my bike insurance, who came by, picked me and the X up, and carried us to Woods.  Did not get out of there til right about noon.  I'll be back out this way in 2 weeks.  How 'bout the Salt Lick???

I'm really sorry we couldn't make it. Our main plans were to do the 3 twisted sisters which we did and one day to Fredericksburg/Enchanted Rock SP. Between the weather not clearing up till Wed and having to get my bike tuned, we got a late start to our vacation. But it all worked out, great weather and great rides. It is just beautiful out in your neck of the woods We'll do it again soon. I'm going to try and get the Hou group to ride and hopefully meet up with ya'll somewhere. Maybe even ride together some. If anyone has any ideas, please post. I won't have a free weekend till Sat., Oct 6.
