if hes already trashed it, or just doesnt feel comfortable giving it away, its all cool. i can understand that... not like im gonna lose any hair over it.... 
Man! I was just trying to do something nice here and now there's all this concern over a helmet that doesn't work right.
I hate to be legalistic Randy, but if you bring me a piece of paper, signed, that states that you will never use the helmet for protection and only and exclusively for the furtherance of your artistic skills and will never pass it on to a third party for use as a protective device...then the helmet is yours if you want it.
Attorneys have complicated this world something awful! Sorry bout the paperwork buddy. If you just wanna pass, I understand.

2) I leaned the FJR in a turn the other day and scraped the peg. Awsome, stable feel leaned way over. I can see why you like sport bikes.
