New sound;  my rear brakes sound like an old school bus.  They were squeeken before, but now its a full on vibration.  I'm assuming that its comming from the back because the front are quiet.  Simple solution is to not use the back brakes, but I don't think I can break the habbit.  Any ideas?

How are your pads.  Is there anything left to them.

The bike is about 1600 miles old.  I would think the breakin period is over.

Hey Brian, you let your hair grow out! O0
If you put on new pads, spray the back of them with spray bed liner (permatex) or they make a special antivibration spray that's higher than I wanted to pay. That should do it. Just read your last post... if there is not a cracked pad or warped rotor, take those pads off and spray the backs like I mentioned. I assumed (I know) you had plenty of miles on those pads and they were worn badly. Check for cracks and warped rotor. Spray the backs, let dry about a day, put back on.

There is only 1654 miles on it.....

They squeeked from day one, and it has progressivly gotten worse.  I'll try the spray tomarrow.  I seem to remember having to do that on my prelude.

If you use the spray, let it dry and keep it off the face of the pad.
They make a felt paper like gasket that will stick to the back of the pad also.
Permatex also makes a tube type that is orange.  Kind of like silicone.  You only apply it to the area where the pistons touch the pad.
All of these will work more or less.   They will not stop the sqeal     they only change the frequancy so you don't hear it anymore

Its under warranty.  Take it in.  Any Honda shop will do it.  Sounds warped to me if it has been squealing since day one.  If you are talking about the slight growl sound on light application in certain situations, many bikes make that sound.

Squealing ain't good.  Ask Ned Beatty.

Pete is right take it in.  Something could be wrong.  You may have a stuck piston or an improperly installed pad.

I'll second the "take it in" comments. Why mess with it if it's Honda's problem? They need to fix it right. Mine are squealing sligtly in the rear at about 4000 miles. If they get worse, guess who I'll be visiting.
