TripMeter ( HELP )
« on: April 29, 2007, 02:36:54 PM »

I need some help on my tripmeter. Every now and then my tripmeter will reset both A & B to back to 0. Has anyone had this kind of problem ? It's hard to keep up with your gas when this happens.

Everytime I've heard this it was a loose battery cable. Check that first.

You've prolly got a loose connection under the r/f of your tank. There are a couple of little green connectors there, inside a rubber water shield. Make sure they are snapped together.

On either the 1300 or the 1800 the trip odometer(s) will reset if power is disconnected, even for an instant. It's almost always the battery terminals, but it could be any of the connections in the circuit.
