why do handlebars confuse me so? Do 1" bars for harley's fit on VTX's? Are 1" bars just 1" bars and Im just making something simple difficult as usual? am I done asking questions?   ???

I don't know about Harley's - but I guess you can worry about whether Honda is using actual 1" vs. 25mm size bars. ;) O0

1" should work if you're getting a bar. the only thing you'd have to worry about then is cables. Valkyrie cables work for most that swap bars for more pullback.

if you get 1.25 inch bars, they are 1 inch in diameter where the controls, grips, and clamps attach.

but they'll be 1.25 at the risers, which would screw him up pretty bad.
1" bars for anything should fit in your stock risers. if you're worried about it, take your bars off and measure them.

No. They should be 1 inch at the risers as well. My beach bars are 1.25 and they go down to 1 inch at the risers and the grips/controls (I still use the stock risers on them). Call HDL or what ever place you are going to buy them from to make sure but that is my experience.

right. VTX specific bars are built that way. by the time we're all done messing with this, he will have bought and swapped out three different sets of new bars.

TC--what are you looking for in bars, anyway?

Dont forget your cables that have to reach the end of bar also so I was told may need to be longer.
