BLUEBONNETS AND WILDFLOWERS!
« on: April 06, 2007, 09:05:33 PM »

With all the rains in the hill country one would think there would be bluebonnets everywhere.  Not so.  :'( :'( , but if any of you really want to see a lot, make the drive between Fredericksburg and Mason.  The sides of the road and some of the fields were covered with Bluebonnets and other wildflowers  O0 O0  The best I've seen this year.  Better hurry if you want to see them, they won't last too long.

A few of us went on a pre-check ride for the Powder Puff Ride yesterday. The weather was beautiful. Well, it did get a little chilly after the sun went down but other then that is was fantastic. We rode about 5 to 6 hrs and 250 miles. Lunch was in there somewhere.

If you want to see some awsome sites with bountiful bluebonnets then you need to ride over to Burton and Independence. There were allots of fields of Bluebonnets, looked like shallow lakes.. I haven't seen many Indian Paintbrushes this year.
