I have an '06 1300s and the speedo seems to be registering about 10mph faster than the bike is going. I have stock tires and have done nothing else to the speedo. Any ideas where to start to solve the problem? Thanks

It’s the overly optimistic Honda speedo. Many bikes read 5-10% faster than your actual speed. There are devices that can correct this. Speedo Healer is one I think. My Suzuki GSXR-600 is off by 12% (checked with GPS). It adds up, at 12k on the GSXR that is 1,400 phantom miles.

Honda is in the middle of a class action suit that has them admitting to purposely putting in a 3.5% error on their auto odometers. Trying to shave waranty and lease mileage. Classy company like Honda, go figure.

Thanks for the info guys. I have ordered the speedo healer to try to fix it. I also agree with the 'Honda Attitude' part but I still like their products.

I think you are talking odometers on Honda Cars ( law suit) and Speedometers on the Honda bikes.

I definitely thought that when I was running 80 on the speedo that is was probably a little more like 70-75 perhaps...what is a cheap remedy for this problem and why must Honda sink to such standards!

Now that is about as politically incorrect a statement that I've ever heard. My ancestors are offended.
