slow day
« on: February 21, 2007, 02:25:12 PM »

Took a nice ride during lunch today and wanted to be gone the rest of the day...added to this is the fact that things for me are very slow today so it makes it hard to be couped up in an office all day!  I know all of you can relate in some way, shape or form!

Snuck back in after a long ride at lunch also. Then thought of several different reasons to go get a couple of things, so I headed for Equipment Depot. Oops, forgot my wallet! Had to go all the way back to the office and get it...and ride over there again. Crap! was that a 1/2 inch connection or a 3/8? Had to ride all the way back to the office and check...and ride over there again... ::) ::) ::)

The guys at Equipment Depot had caught on and were laughing their heads off, but not a soul at the office seemed to notice I was gone all afternoon... 8) 8) 8)

Should I ride to work again tomorrow???

Well hell yes Mike. It only took me one summer to train my employer. If I show up on the bike, don't expect me back. No matter what time I leave.
He and his son both went and bought bikes.  ;D ;D ;D  It's nice to have an understanding boss.

Hey
Guys, Thursday sounds like a great time for a ride.  Lets all ride to work and they disappear.  Then we can do some real ridding.

Regards earl

Don't know if I can get away tomorrow, but I'll try. I'll give you a call if I can give them the slip. There's nothing like playing hooky and riding!  8) 8) 8)

I kick myself in the tail today for not riding my bike into work today with the temp going to be in the low 80's...how perfect is that for weather and being out on the roads instead of being held up in an office for 8 hrs...I will definitely be out when I get home as the weather for the weekend looks to be a little rough...hope your day is great ya'll and that you get the chance to enjoy the great temp's today!

Oh Yeah! That's the way you do it. I've got to get a job like that. Between you and Dusty, I'm learning how to screen potential employers: "Pardon me sir, but do you ride on Monday or Tuesday?", or, "I don't work by the hour, I work by the weather."... ;D ;D ;D

Got away with playing around yesterday, but today looks like I might actually have to do something. It's amazing what these people expect of me... ::)

yeah expectations absolutely suck but its nice having a boss who can take care of me time wise when he decides we need to get out and ride on a great weather day...dont try to pull it off too often as I want to keep this sweet job...but it is nice to get a little lead way!
