BBT III
« on: May 14, 2006, 02:42:20 PM »

Jim and I made it home just before the rain bucket was kicked over up stairs... :) :)

I hope everyone makes it home Safe and Dry.

We had a great time but I sure missed the Houston Group. I was able to meet most of the Beaumont and Central Texas Group. They are a bunch of Fun Lovin People........... ;D ;D

I want to Thank RD and Susann  for their time and all of the great things they did to make BBT III so much FUN.

Congratulations to Bomber Girl..........You Go Girl.

Good to see you Robert. I wish you could've made it down earlier. :( We just didn't have enough time to gang up, and torment people. :D

OHHHHh, you tormented plenty by yourself!!! :) Made it home at 8 pm, hit three thunderstorms the first 250 miles, hot sun in between each making removal of raingear necessary each time!PITA. Last couple hundred was as pretty as you could ask for. :) Enjoyed all the company, lots of new faces too!
Going back to Fredricksberg from the campground at 2:30 Am Sunday morning (Kenny, you were rackin' 'em up last I "heard" you), there were four different batches of deer next to and on the highway, more on Luchenbach rd than all the other times I've been down that road put together! Sooo, you that are going next week be careful, more deer activity than I've seen the last three times down there altogether!
It was great, just wish I hadn't missed the "second wave" of ya'll. By the way, The budget host did not honor my reservation fee, Had the $55 reserved room since December, when I found out there was new owners, I reconfirmed the room, but didn't think to reconfirm the price. :-[Ended up paying $70 per night. Beware all. I'll be looking for a new spot for next year!

Made it home safe and sound also. I didn't hit any rain (outran it) till I got about 2 miles from home, so Crewsn's house was near so parked the bike in his garage till it blew over, and he fed me too  :) I really had a blast, met some wonderful folks (no Kenny....not your masseuse friend  ;)), and saw some beautiful VTX's!!! The willow loop ride took my breathe away. I can't wait till next year. Thanks everybody.

Had a travel day from hell on the way back.....my trailer got wet about the time we reached Beaumont...  :D.. We had a great time ...fun to see old faces and new and enjoyed the riding immensely. We went back to Beaumont through Blanco and Wimberly  and San Marcus, ( we really liked Wimberly... it was our first time there and we decided to make plans to go back there and explore the area a little). Got back to Beaumont around 4:30 and headed to back to Houston to catch a plane to Dallas at 6:30. My 9:00 flight was delayed until 11:40 so I finally got to my house in Plano around 1:30 am......made for a long day... my only regret is that I can't go back to the Hill Country and do it all over again this weekend.... ;D
