Thank you everybody for your prayers.  We will probably still be here for at least another week for the recovery.  The surgery went better than expected.  If you go to the caringbridge website you can see updates.  I am trying to get a video of her from today uploaded to youtube.  It will be linked on the caringbridge site when I can get it done.

I've been reading every day and seeing the pictures and just watched the video. What a cutie!!!

11 years ago, our son was 2 months old and almost died. It was Christmas day actually when we took him to the ER and the morning after Christmas he had emergency surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia and colon defect he'd had since birth (whereas babies typically were diagnosed w/in hours of birth or died - and here he was 2 months old). They said it would be a couple weeks in the ICU and then on the floor before he could go home. But God's hand was there and he was home New Year's day. And we haven't looked back since. But I'll never forget the fear of seeing my child in the hospital and the helpless feeling of not being able to take away his pain or knowing how to help him. (maybe that's part of why I'm a nurse?)

I'm not saying we know what you are going thru at all. But from two parents who've had a sick child, at Christmas, who've experienced God's loving grace, you are most certainly in our prayers for a healthy little girl! I hope it's a very merry Christmas, even if it has to be in the hospital.

God Bless!

My brother had the same surgery for the same reason as a child. They can do amazing things today.

God be with you all.

I lost a baby boy 35 yrs ago from heart failure and I still think of him to this day. I am always wondering what Christopher would have grown up to be.........

God is Good...................<><

It's always fun to travel but it always good to get home and sleep in your own bed.

Give your baby girl a big hug and kiss from the X group.........
