Easr Side Honda....WOW
« on: November 19, 2006, 07:33:41 AM »

After I left Tajas X Riders Tech session, I stopped by East Side Honda to talk to them about my clutch install and a dyno, to tune my pcIII ...since I was late to the tech session and didn't have time for my bike to cool, I asked them about a valve adjustment...100.00 total cost for valve adjust....thats 150 less than cowboy honda and 250 less than Triple L in Orange...if their work is as good as their prices, then they will get alot of my biz....closed on Monday, open till 8:00pm on thursday..and till 6:00 pm on sat.....they said if I made an appointment and delivered my bike on thurs. next week they could have my bike ready on sat....I'll let ya know how it goes

That sounds like what I want, especially the economy. Have you talked to anyone that has had a dyno done there? Do they know what they are doing?

I have not been back since I purchased my bike from them.  I regreted buying from them.  They were very unprofesional.  I bought the bike and when I came to pick it up, it was still on the showroom floor.  It had not been brought back to make ready yet, as a matter of fact there was someone sitting on the bike in the showroom.  When I went back to finish signing the paperwork, the lady was taking phone calls the whole time and took about 45min to finsish with her on the phone the whole time. When they finally had the bike "ready" I went out to do the walk through on it and the windshield was not installed.  I asked about it and they did not know anything about it and when in to find out and the salesman and the guy behind the counter got in a huge argument in front of me.  ended up not getting the windshield mounted, by then I just wanted to leave.  The salesman showing me the bike knew nothing about, nothing.  I asked if the mechanic could answer some of my questions, his response was they dont have time for that.  Needless to say right in the middle of him talking I turned the key started the bike and left.  When I got home my wife told me that the guy was surprised I left in the middle of him talking she said do you blame him and she walked away and left.  I do all my own work on my bike thanks to this site and VTXOA.  I hope others have had better experiences this wast just my 2 cents I usually go to Northside Honda for anything I need great people to do business with and wish I would of bought there!!!!

This is the dealership that told me that running synthetic oil would destroy my engine, and that Honda had put out a letter that synthetic oil is NOT to be used in the VTX and that its use would void my warranty. You just have to respect that kind of superior knowledge and commitment to the customer.

Bill, I know it's a little farther than Pflugerville, but Jim Sabin in Dallas will dyno-tune you right.
