Ok, Ok, I consede the Vette is clearly the winner at top in, but how quick can the Vette get thru the quarter? ??? ???

Jerry :)

GM says 12.5 seconds, straight off the production floor.

It wasn't on the air long, before busybodies complained that it promoted unsafe driving, and Chevy pulled it.

p.s.: The guys singing in the background have finally reached the age that they can buy Gold Wings!  ;) ;D

Quick-Silver-sorry about the misspelling.  Must have gotten dyslexic from sitting on a Wing and drooling all over it.  They didn't make me clean it up though!! LOL

I had a good trip from San Antonio to Galveston and back.  Winds were 25- 35 mph and the Wing handled them well; though the highest gusts brought on some pucker factor.  The bike handles well and runs quietly as you would expect.  Power was awesome and accelerating in 5th gear to overtake traffic was quick and effortless.  Stock seat was comfortable and the heated seat and grips was welcome in the cold.  After 2-1/2 hours riding, I stopped in Katy at the Honda dealer and picked up a Kuryakyn back rest.  Installation took 20 minutes and it felt great to my aching back.  I'm still trying to configure highway pegs as the std peg position feels cramped after a while.  All in all, a great trip and a lot of fun to ride longer distances.  The one thing that stands out for me is the low speed (parking lots) nimbleness - much easier to steer and turn at a crawl.   O0
