How's this for a first time at the races?
« on: October 21, 2006, 10:11:38 AM »

Did a few runs with my '05 VTX1800F for the first time. I'm hooked! Need to spend some money now to shave a few tenths off these times. I've got someone out there I need to beat! :o  ;)  :)

Don't remember exactly how much time, but it was quite a while. It started getting really crowded towards the end of the night and they were making the bikes wait a while. The first slip was my very first run and my best E/T of the night... go figure.

Cool, who is the someone??????
The "someone" is a guy on a fairly heavily modified RoadStar Warrior who beat me by only about a half-bike length because I hit the rev-limiter in third gear. I had him beat up until that point. So he is now my self-declared rival.  O0

That last run was still a great one if you hit the limiter. What did the warrior beat you by? Time Wise?

My best time was a 12.64 and I'm 50lbs lighter now so I'll accept a challenge.  ;)

We're planning a track night for my b-day on Nov. 10th. O0

Nice runs btw.

He says he ran a 12.4 but I don't know. He only got me by no more than a bike. I had a pretty good R/T so I guess it's possible. Maybe I'd have run a 12.4 if I hadn't hit the limiter.  O0

I'm ready! Lets do it O0 I'm looking to get a clutch put in before then, cuz I had a little slippage. Curious to see what that does.
