R.O.T. 2016
« on: June 08, 2016, 08:34:51 AM »

I'm riding down with a buddy Thursday morning from Fort Worth. Anyone wanting to hook up and head down is welcome. Not going to leave until mid-morning. Will have a chase car for extras if needed.

Be nice to meet some X riders down there too. Anyone else going? I cant find any threads on this years rally.

I hope you are going to be on the grounds if you plan on partaking in adult beverages.  Those cops are really bad.

Will do. PK sounds good.  Had a great time. Got to hang with Opie on 6th street for a bit. :c

Got a 2 beer limit when riding. Not much of a drinker anymore, no more Cranberries kicking hangovers...Somehow we still manage to have a good time. Just not as loud as I used to be....

Went well, no unexpected road issues. Bikes ran smooth. Very little rain. The X was represented well, saw some sweet rides.  Parades were what they always are, cluster*uck of an accordion. I saw many idiots but only one wreck. Campground route at midnight on Saturday was quite the ride. One lap was enough. Hotels for us, I dont own an RV. Don't want one either...

Rally merchandise everywhere, I get shopped out pretty quick, so as soon as the wife was done we boogied around town a bit. Austin is fun. The food is amazing, live music everywhere and darn good. Awful hard not to like.

Ride home was sweet, got all the way to Haltom City before we the the rain. I live by NE Mall. LOL

I was born in Galveston, got lots of family there. We do the Lone Star Rally too.

Sweet.  I enjoy the vendors but you can get shopped out pretty quick with things get repetitive.  I haven't been able to go the past two years but hoping next year I can make it as I see brighter days ahead.  I love Austin food and music.
