In 1976 I was stationed in Germany, and even at that late date, the average germans watched "Gunsmoke" on tv. Even though Dodge was in Kansas or wherever, when the Germans asked where you were from and you told them Texas, they all thought Texans had their gunbelts on just like Marshall Dillon. I never could convince them Texas wasn't just like "Gunsmoke". I guess it will be in January though.
