Still here!!
« on: January 15, 2014, 04:36:48 PM »

Haven't had time to surf the boards at work in a while but things have slowed down a bit.  I made the Galveston Lone Star Rally, we were up and back on Saturday.  Lots of people and bikes.  Now I plan on making rides that are a bit more docile.  Maybe a weekend ride to Austin or something.  I can't wait for the Spring weather!!

Welcome back, ready for spring riding myself. Silver Streak has a car show at his Hot Rod coffee trailer every saturday in Austin, good excuse to ride over.

That's what I am talking about.

Made a short ride to Mak's Sportsbar last night, they have taco night which is really Fajita night. For a buck each it's awesome food and cheap cheap cheap.  I had a 24oz beer and filled up on fajitas for $9 including tips.  I am going to Beach Bums next Wednesday for steak night, not sure about the prices but have been told the steak is awesome.

I am going to get some thermal pants for bicycle riding in the winter/fall and might have to start wearing them under jeans on these cold night rides.  Last night it was 44F which is cold in my book.  My face and hands were the hardest hit but the legs were in a close second place.

Or go to Academy and pick up a pair of Ski bibs for dirt cheap as they go on sale to remove stock.  I bought a pair several years ago and they are still going strong. Just a thought.

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

I did that as well for really cold weather, then I bought the Wing and got some chaps.

Waiting for Spring?  Heck, that's when it starts getting hot around here.  My riding season officially began when the cold weather hit last Fall.   ;D  Of course with the kiddos, I haven't been able to ride much...but it's all good!
