Is this normal?
« on: August 28, 2006, 04:17:29 PM »

I know this is gonna sound silly and you've heard it before but here goes...i just put pipes on my 1800c a couple of days ago (cobra lowboys) the bike runs great not much decel popping but it really smells like i'm dumping straight fuel through the pipes. all i have done is the pipes and was wondering, without a fuel manager or pc if i went to a bigger air cleaner would it fix it or make it worse?    O.K. now you can laugh..... but seriously HELP  thanx

I would try to take off the air cleaner and just start it. See what it does. Then see what it needs.
Let us know what you end up doing.

There is a guy on e-bay selling powercommanders for 259.95 brand new.  I got one and now I can't stop spinning the rear.

Sabin Motor Sports over on Shady Trial in Dallas can remap and dyno your bike.

There is a shop in Ft. Worth that can fix you up on a re-map.  I can't find his card but the shop is on Hwy 80 just east of Las Vegas Trail.  They are on the south side of the hwy.
I checked them out the last time I was in town  and they seem like nice folks.
Hope this helps.
