Houston area tech session
« on: January 02, 2013, 10:24:43 PM »

Weather permitting I am having a tech session at my house on Sunday January 27th.  Probably starting around 9:30 or so.  Have room for several bikes if you want to come and work on your bike, or you can come and just help out those of us who are working on our bike.  I have one stand, a jack and most tools.  Anyone who has another stand and tools is welcome to bring them along.

I will post again about a week ahead of time and verify if the weather sounds promising and will get a head count then.

REMINDER - Houston area tech session
« Reply #1 on: January 23, 2013, 04:05:28 PM »

I am having a tech session at my house this Sunday, January 27th at 10am.
The weather should be pretty decent, slight chance of rain (20%), but I have room in a 3 stall garage for upwards of 6-7 bikes.

I have one stand (I will be using it for fork seal change) and a jack.

PLEASE let me know if you are coming so I can have chow on hand.

Hi Lucky,

If I can get out for an early ride I would like to stop by and see if I can help if needed, can you PM your address or directions?

Planned on making it, but was overruled by mamma, 3 more week until the kid-o leaves for school in China and we will be booked until that time.

With that said anyone from the north side going ??? I have clutch and break levers for Wayne that he needs and would meet if you are going  ;)

Steve, would you please bring your special fork seal tool?  Thanks

Gumbo, don't worry about the levers, we don't need them this weekend.  We will get them from you at the next M&G we see ya at.

I had a blast also.

I want to extend a serious THANK YOU to both matap and SteveS.  You guys were awesome in the replacement of my fork seals.  I did not intend for you to do as much as you did (like most all of it), but I could tell I was in the way of a couple of guys who really knew what they were doing...besides I got busy with cooking pizza  :lunch:

Steve you left your seal seater...I will bring it on Wednesday night.

Niterider, thanks for your help with the speed bleeders and bringing your entertaining group of friends along.  It appeared a good time was had by all.
Hopefully Omar got home clean AND dry, LOL.

Had a good time. It had been awhile since I've been able to see many of you and the pizza was really good. Really. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I'm sooooo embarrassed. I thought I was a rider. But then Connie got out her little spreadsheet to key in the bike maintenance we just did. Yesterday, I had 82051 miles on the bike. When we changed the oil in it on 12/9/2012, she had 82039 miles.  :cantbelieve: :cantbelieve:  Where do I turn in my man card and get my diamond chip?  :couch:

Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

Are you sure that someone hasn't had it on the stand and running it in reverse?
