Stay away from Demon Cycles products.
« on: October 19, 2012, 12:33:22 PM »

I had a problem with the screws that hold the led board in my side plate coming out and taking out most of the LEDs. Contacted Demon Cycles about it with pictures and also spoke to someone who told me that I would be fine because it had a 1 year warranty.  He said I have your email here and I will get your email over to our warranty department so they can get you taking care of tomorrow.  This was Tuesday, Thursday I sent another email letting them know that I had not heard anything.  I got a reply back that they had never got my email. So I resent it and the response I got back was "you bought it 9 months ago and it only has a 30 day warranty".  :cuss:
The salesman on the phone said no problem it has a 1 year warranty....
So don't count on them to warranty there products.
Bikers Choice has the same side plate that has a 1 year warrant. I thought that was what I bought so I had contacted them first. They told me just find my receipt that proves that I had bought it less than a year ago and it would be taking care of.  Sad to say when I found the receipt it was from Demon Cycles.

Just a heads up to every one.

Is it possible that the person who took your initial phone call was simply wrong, and that the part really DID have a shorter warranty?  Did you go back and look at the documentation you had when you bought it?

Of course, a 30 day warranty on hardware is a reason to not buy something as well.  I wouldn't have bought it in the first place if they only believe in it for a month.
