Darkside Question
« on: September 08, 2012, 04:03:24 PM »

I know this is a very controversial topic, and I'm not trying to stir the pot.  Does anyone in the Austin or Bryan area know where they will mount a CT on a motorcycle? I put a lot of miles commuting back and forth to Austin. Looking for a tire that will handle lots of miles.
I know some disagree with darksiders, but I'm gonna give it a try.

There are a few in the area that have CT's on their X's.  There is one that has a CT but will put a MT next tire change.  I have a CT on my Wing and will never go back to a MT.  Mileage and handling in the rain is greatly improved for me.  I have had no issues for 14,500 miles on my Kumho RF.    I will put one on my X once the METZ needs changing.

I use Leal Tires on E. Cesar Chavez to change 'em ($12),  they also have a shop at Decker and FM969.  Also, many small tire shops will change them for you with no questions asked.  I take them off and just take the tires to have them changed.  There are also a few in Leander that will change them off of Bus. 183, North of FM1431.
