Who likes light houses!? Hard to believe I've been up in Boston for 3 months already! If it weren't for the motorcycle to get me out and about on my free weekends I'd be going stir crazy.
Along my weekend bike trips I've come across more than a few Lighthouses along the coast. Some are more memorable than others. Hope you like these as much as I did.
Nauset Lighthouse on Cape Cod
Hey Bryce, remember the lighthouse Forrest Gump ran to before turning around!? It's in Marshal Point Maine
Portland Maine Headlight
Portland Maine Harbor Lighthouse
Bass Harbor Headlight on Mount Desert Island off the coast of Maine.

Very nice pictures. I would love to be able to visit this part of our great country. Maybe one day soon.

Wow, those are beautiful pictures...a couple of them look like postcard quality.
Here is the only lighthouse Wayne and I saw on our NW trip, not near as pretty as your pics Robert. It is the Umpqua River Lighthouse, which is the oldest one in Oregon.

Beautiful pics! Riding around that part of the country is like riding thru a Norman Rockwell book.
Have you walked the Freedom Trail thru Boston? Pretty cool

Great pix of the lighthouses. I've always been facinated with the long history each one has. I'm really partial to the lighthouse on the Bolivar Penninsula. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Beautiful photos, Robert.
Before you take next ride up the coast of Maine, check out the area around Brunswick. Years ago, I had a chance to visit a fabulous seafood restaurant near there on one of the tips of land that jut out into the ocean. The drive out to the restaurant was gorgeous and the view from the restaurant (which sits up on a hill) was fantastic. If it's still there, I'll bet that it hasn't lost any of its charm and that the locals would be able to direct you to it.
