Well, no one can really tell you which seat is going to work for your butt.  You may try hooking up with some local riders who have different seats, and see what they feel like...especially if they'll let you ride around for a few miles.  I have a Corbin seat with backrest and have put literally tens of thousands of miles on it, and I love it.  I tried the Mustang and did not like the way it felt, but I did keep the Mustang pillion and mated it up to the Corbin for either my wife or daughter to use when needed.

I'm all for the Ultimate, hands down! There's 2 different one's out there and depending on your height is the one you need. I'm 5'11'' and that was right on the bourder between a Big Boy and the Low Rider. Had some friends with the Big Boy and although they were nice, they were just what I call "a little puffy" for me. I sat on a Low Rider and knew then what I wanted. It will sit you lower on the bike and gives you a little more butt support. Yes I've got the back rest also. I've run a little over 50,000 and not once can I ever remember any butt or back ache. My wife has a Mustang on her 1300 and although it's comfey, I can ride her's for awhile and I'm ready for Ultimate back. There used to be a saying that went 'If you've got'a 10 buck head then go by a 10 buck helmet", Well a seat will be the most important aftermarket purchase your going to make, so don't worry about the cost, make your butt happy. An unhappy butt will ruin a good day on the road.  :c :c

Have an Ultimate Big Boy on the "X" and love it .... Great seat ... Did the near 600 miles back from Crockett to Home in one stretch.  Never any discomfort.

Have heard many good things about Mean City.  That being said I had the seat on the wife's 750 done by Robert Doerr. http://www.robertdoerr.com/

He modded the seat width (wider), changed the position (forward), added padding and worked on the passenger seat area.  Custom stitching and all was way less than my Ultimate.  The seat is comfortable.  I have made many miles on it as has the wife.  No complaints at all.

Added the Utopia backrest later ...
