1300R front brake questions
« on: September 29, 2011, 06:30:01 PM »

So the time has come to change the pads on my 08 1300R and I got some questions. First, Am I gonna have to take off/move the fender? looks like there's not enough clearance to pull the caliper off. Second, has anyone seen my 12mm socket? hah, kidding, but seriously, anyone in Austin have an air-ratchet I can use? stealer over torqued the bolts and all i'm doing with my hand wrenches is damage. Thanks gang.

Not a hard job at all, go to http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207424&highlight=1300+brake+pads
I'll be changing mine when I get home, and bleeding brakes. \\
You can do it

No need to remove the caliper when changing the brake pads unless you have to get your rotor refinished.
