A friend of mine's Mom passed recently and he and his brother are in the process on selling her house.  About a year ago, then installed a backup generator so the she would not be without power.  They want to sell the generator separate from the house.  It is a Generac air-cooled model 05530 14KW that runs on LP or NG.  You can find some info. for it at this link: http://www.aet.ca/index.php?section=32

New, the generator and transfer box sold for $5100.00. They are asking in the neighborhood of 3k.  If you or anyone you might know is looking to upgrade your home this hurricane season, this might be a good deal.  Reply here or PM me if you or anyone you know is interested.

That is a great deal.  Properly installed, most people don't even know that they have had an outage.  They certainly don't notice the periodic operation of the unit (automatically done) to keep things in running order.  Don't be surprised if there are more blackouts due to generation deficiency this summer.  Good luck on the sale.
