Battery?
« on: June 19, 2011, 02:50:48 PM »

Just got home from a long hot ride and noticed earlier after filling up it hesitated a bit in trying to start but did start.I tried again a few minutes ago all the lights came on and when I went to start it heard a clicking sound then everything quit no lights nothing turned the key off then .I then tried again and same thing happened my thought is battery any ideas? It has been a few min. went out and tried again started fine but noticed my trip odometers had reset........guess I will beging by taking the battery out and having it checked.

Larry, don't you have that stereo in the fairing?  If so, you'll need to wire it so that you can take all power minus the clock wire.  that will continue to drain your battery and doesn't matter if you keep it plugged into a trickle charger.

The wire on the neg terminal was barely touching so redid all the battery wiring and no more problem.
