reassembling the frame and suspension this weekend after being unassembled for quite some time.  Got busy and with the vacation I just had, I couldn't really concentrate on it, but now I should be able to be consistent with it.  hoping to finish before the summer hits or maybe even in early spring.

Just giving a small update.  I finally got the cams installed and the engine turns in perfect harmony.  Still quite a bit of work to do, but I'm getting closer everyday.  Does anyone know where I can buy some wire that would match the original wire color and tracers?  Thinking about making the harnes from scratch.

Let me tell you..............I get very little sleep b/c I usually work late into the night on this.  The good thing is I'm not tired at all. I'm a man on fire. :bikerider:

a few more pictures.  at this point the frame/chasis is complete.  wheels painted.  all of the motor is finally closed and ready for oil.  What i have left is.......mount chain, make custom throttle & clutch cables, paint gas tank, assemble carburetors( & sync), rewire entire bike and maybe a few small things here and there.

That magazine finder just is not going to work, first time it rains you will have to replace it. I have some extra tin if you want.  :c ::) ::)

Matap, I may be contacting you in the next several weeks. I was given an old XS650 that my son and I are going to bob out for him. I am really interested in looking at what you have done, and bouncing some ideas off of you. BTW, how much money do you have in yours so far?

No problem man.  Hit me up for sure.  I think I have vested about less than $2500.00 and some of that money isn't even on the bike b/c of trial and error.

I was gifted an XS650 with an extra engine, and 3 sets of wheels. This will be a father and son project for my youngest boy. I am very interested in the monoshock setup you have there. I'm going to go pick it up this Friday, so I'll get with ya soon bro.
