12V DC Accessory Power Socket

Has anyone installed a 12V DC accessory power outlet on their 1800? I would like to add one to power radar detector or GPS unit. Using a power outlet, I would be able to move these between my VTX and car.

I put some waterproof (as in boat supply)ones on Marigold's and my bikes. Mine's Velcro attached to the top bridge and run straight to the battery through a fuse; I can use it for a jump-start terminal that way. Use insulated quick-connect terminals so you can replace it easily. You're close enough to us that we can get together if you want to see how we did it.
