I believe the retro is a touch softer.

Im more concerned about the fitment...  i found a rear retro fender assembly so I was wondering if I can use the same shocks or if I need to find some retro shocks

I could be wrong, but I believe the diameter and length are the same.

The shocks will mount on either bike.
