Rear cylinder leaking at the top. Have not taken a close look yet. Anyone have experience with these types of leaks?

Any valve work done latley  ??? Might want to check to ensure no cracks or breaks in the seal.  ::)

I'm at 67,000 + miles and mine showed a leak about 10,000 miles ago. I wiped it clean, tightened the head bolts and kept on riding. It doesn't show up as often and it's mostly in the hot summer time when I ride it hard and for long stretches. I have never seen signs of a drip, so there must not be much oil coming out.

It's a Honda, just tell it you still love it and keep on riding!

'02's and '03's are known for the rear head to leak a tad (literally).  The process Honda used, missed a millimeter or two of sealant on the top of the head at the back.  On long trips and/or in the summer it's worse because the oil gets so thin after it's hot.  The fix is to pull the top and reseal.

I just wipe it every few months.

Yesterday I noticed a drop of oil on the side cover near the ignition.... I guess I will take a closer look today.

10/4 to what Brock said, it's a bit of a PITA to do right, but it's worth it in the long run. BTW, it's called the "rocker box" gasket (which isn't really a gasket but is a silicone seal) which has started to deteriorate.

:agree:I used to have to put some cardboard under my Harley to keep the grease spots off the garage floor.
