Yeah, I guess it could have been hotter and we could have fought mosquitos all night...but that wind...damn, it was tough.

That damn wind kep me up al night.  every time I was about to fall asleep, it would pick right up and wake me up again.  oh well, really didn't need the sleep anyway, was on a natural high all weekend anyways.

Yep the weather cooperated and except for the wind wasn't bad at all seems like while we were there. I guess when your having fun it doesn't matter.  I only really noticed the wind on the trip down and the hurricane force winds on the way home.  :bikerider: I took a little different way home to have trees and low spots to use as a wind block. The last 9 miles on the way home we actually got the wind to our back and it was nice and I was really glad cause I was whipped. All in all it was real good to meet some new faces and see some old (er) ones.

I packed everything up Tuesday night for a departure of Wednesday noon. Had full intentions of having 4 full days of the Hill Country. After I loaded the bike on the trailer I just happen to notice a knot on my front tire. I had a tire but not the time to fool with it. $78 bucks to the dealer to take my wheel off and mount my new tire. It was 9:00 pm Wed. when I finally got to the air field where the attendant instructed me to put my tent in never never land. I think I finally got to bed around 1:30. Thursday morning about 5:30 I was pleasantly awakened by what sounded like a crop duster buzzing my tent. :cuss: Made a run to Leakey and came back to party in Showville. Passed out around 1:30 again to be awakened at 7 Friday morning by the barrel boucing garbage crew.  :banghead: Went for a ride and returned to find the wind had caved my tent in. The end of Billville. Packed it all up and went for another ride to Alamosa Springs to grab a burger. Left there and went to the Armadillo Farm to see if Gay had a cabin available. Rode back to the airstrip to load my bike and resettle at the farm. I really did intend to return for supper. My apologies to the showville group for not returning. By the time I got settled, showered and sat down, I think I was brain dead from alchohol and lack of sleep. I woke up fully rested Sat. morning and ready to ride. Sat around drinking coffee until it was daylight. I was getting ready to unload the bike and ride when it started raining. I said screw it! I hooked up to the trailor and hauled my Cranberries. Six hours later I was home and glad to be here. I'm sorry for not saying goodbye and for not sticking around to see my old friends that I went to see.  :notworthy:
Another place and another time....real soon.

Hey Dusty, we will see you somewhere else real soon or maybe later.  I like everybody enjoyed most of the Rally minus the WIND.  I metd some really nice people from the H area, and saw some old friends.  Look foreward to seeing y'all again.
