A cool quote
« on: December 16, 2008, 01:44:23 PM »

Ran across this saying on another site and thought it was too good to not share:

A "Veteran" (whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve) is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to  "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his/her life".

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact!

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.

A lot of us (Veterans) love our country and VOLUNTEERED to give up our freedoms and rights to defend them for others. THe 6 years as a Squid on a FFG were some of the best times and best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Never did make the kind of friends and relationships on the outside as I did when I was in the Air Force.  I got out in 2000 after serving 7 years.  I actually just applied for the Air Force reserve last week.  Something in me still wants to serve.
