i knew they would either change the date or cancel the event.  I will got for a 1/2 a day or so...  My next door neighbor has family in Galveston and they said that it will take a while before they are able to return to their home in Galveston.  The rally will suck if they are not able to cather to all the people that may show up.

Well, that puts some sand in the ointment,,,

Only 2 weeks difference, but it may very well be somewhat of a crowd killer,,,

Not a good thing, as far as Galveston is concerned,,,,

Still a good day trip for me.

Actually it is like 6 weeks difference... the original dates were Oct 30-Nov 2, now it is Dec 11-14
Big enough difference that it makes for lots of changes in our plans.

I hope to have the bike back together for this. If not, I am going to steal my sons 1300.  :-\

Considering the effort they are putting into having the rally, I think it is worth some support. We ride in bad weather all the time. It was 107 degrees outside of Dallas on my way to Sturgis in August. Now thats some bad weather.
